Water Wars — Weather Weapons and the Engineered Drought
Part III: Energy Sabotage by Reservoir Collapse
The Hidden Twin of Water
When most people look at Hoover Dam or Glen Canyon Dam, they think of water storage, irrigation, boating, and flood control. But the true, indispensable function of these massive reservoirs is energy generation. These dams convert falling water into hydroelectricity — a lifeline for tens of millions across the Southwest.
What the public rarely realizes is this: when the lakes collapse, so does the grid.
Hoover Dam: The Southwest’s Beating Heart
- Capacity: Enough power for more than 1.3 million people.
- Critical Threshold: If Lake Mead falls below ~950 feet, turbines can no longer spin at usable efficiency. Below 926 feet — “deadpool” — water won’t even flow through to downstream states.
- Current Reality: Lake Mead is already teetering around 1,056 feet. That’s a mere 100 feet away from energy collapse.
This means one bad winter, one manipulated storm season, one engineered dry year could bring Hoover Dam’s powerhouses to a halt.
Glen Canyon Dam: The Other Shoe Dropping
- Capacity: Powers ~400,000 homes.
- Critical Threshold: Below 3,490 feet, turbines fall silent.
- Current Reality: Lake Powell sits around 3,546 feet — only 56 feet above cutoff.
In other words: one season’s drop away from shutdown.
The collapse of Glen Canyon would not just mean energy shortages for Utah and Arizona. It would cripple transmission lines that stabilize the entire Western grid. Blackouts would ripple outward like shockwaves.
Cascading Blackouts
When the dams go dark, the consequences are immediate:
- Cities lose power — Las Vegas, Phoenix, Los Angeles dependent on Hoover’s flow.
- Water pumps fail — no electricity to move dwindling water supplies through aqueducts.
- Food distribution collapses — refrigeration, trucking, and storage dependent on continuous current.
- Hospitals and infrastructure falter — diesel backups run short, grids destabilize.
The reservoirs are being turned into a chokepoint. Once levels fall below those thresholds, entire regions will be cast into rolling blackouts and rationed electricity.
Energy as the Ultimate Lever
This is why the weather warfare against the lakes is not just about water — it is about power. No electricity means no independence. No refrigeration, no modern farming, no functioning cities.
The same NEXRAD and HAARP systems that evaporate storms are in effect pulling the plug on the West. And when the lights go out, people become desperate, pliable, and easily controlled.
The Real Sabotage
- First: drain the reservoirs through engineered drought.
- Second: cripple hydropower and destabilize the grid.
- Third: force populations into dependence on “renewable” projects managed by corporate monopolies and federal emergency agencies.
This is deliberate energy sabotage — not a natural drought, not bad management, but an orchestrated takedown of the power system.
Next: Farming into Famine
In Part IV, we will track how the collapse of the reservoirs — and the loss of energy to move and irrigate water — will destroy the breadbasket of the West. Crops will vanish, cattle herds will shrink, and famine will be manufactured across America.
The war for water is the war for food.
